WeWork India has opened two flexible workspace centres in Bengaluru and Pune, adding approximately 2.25 lakh square feet and more than 4,500 desks, according to Business Standard's 5 October report. The development expands office choices in Whitefield and Wakad, two locations serving different urban employment catchments. [1]

The openings concern WeWork Infinix Palladium in Whitefield and WeWork Millennium Towers in Wakad. Business Standard reported the development on Monday afternoon; ET Realty carried it on Tuesday morning. The later coverage should not be mistaken for evidence that both properties first opened on 6 October. [1,2]

What the Bengaluru and Pune centres add

ET Realty places the Whitefield centre at about 1.7 lakh square feet, with more than 3,100 desks. The Wakad centre covers approximately 55,000 square feet on the 16th and 17th floors and offers around 1,400 desks. It also reports a separate managed-office leasing arrangement covering nearly 1.8 lakh square feet in Millennium Towers. That separate area should not be folded into the two-centre opening total. [2]

The operator's own location pages confirm the addresses and workspace offerings. Infinix Palladium is on Whitefield Main Road in Dyavasandra. Millennium Towers is above Phoenix Mall of the Millennium in Wakad, with the company's listing placing it near Hinjewadi. Both pages advertise private offices, coworking facilities and meeting rooms. [3,4]

These official listings establish the marketed locations and products. They do not establish occupancy levels, the identity of every tenant or the commercial terms negotiated by individual customers.

The Whitefield lease was announced in April

An official WeWork India release dated 6 April 2026 already identified Infinix Palladium within a five-building leasing programme across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. It recorded 169,485 square feet and approximately 3,100 desks for the Whitefield building. The wider programme involved more than 700,000 square feet under long-term leases. [5]

That earlier disclosure provides a useful distinction between securing premises and opening a workspace. The October news concerns the reported opening milestone; it is not a newly signed Whitefield lease of the same area. Counting both announcements as separate additions to leased inventory would overstate the underlying expansion.

What office occupiers should compare

BrickBharat's assessment is that the practical value of an additional centre depends on how well its location and contract fit a business. A large desk count can widen the range of possible layouts, but it does not establish whether contiguous seats are available when a team needs them.

An occupier comparing offers can request a like-for-like quotation covering the same headcount, term and services. Meeting-room allowances, internet arrangements, parking, deposits, access hours and expansion options are useful comparison points. The advertised workspace category alone cannot show which of those items is included in a particular agreement.

Location also needs a door-to-door test. A listed address or nearby transport connection is a starting point; employee journeys, client visits and required office attendance determine how convenient it is for a specific organisation. These are editorial evaluation criteria, not findings from a tenant survey at either centre.

What the openings mean for commercial real estate

For the local office market, the confirmed takeaway is additional marketed flexible workspace capacity. An opening is not the same measure as occupied desks, contracted revenue or net absorption across a city. The reports reviewed do not provide enough centre-level operating data to calculate those outcomes.

Investors following the expansion can therefore separate premises secured, centres opened and customer occupancy. Subsequent company disclosures may clarify utilisation and financial performance. For now, the two openings offer a concrete operational development without establishing a wider change in Bengaluru or Pune office rents.
