Ajinkya Rahane's wife buys flats in Dadar
Radhika Rahane, wife of Indian cricketer and former Test captain Ajinkya Rahane, has bought two apartments in Mumbai's Dadar West for a combined ₹24.76 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by real-estate research firm Liases Foras. The sale was reported by Hindustan Times and Business Standard on 4 November 2026.
The apartments are in Oceana, an under-construction residential tower on Keluskar Road South near Shivaji Park. The seller is Kohinoor Planet Constructions Private Limited. The agreements were registered on 29 October 2026.
The deal in numbers
Together the two units have a RERA carpet area of 3,391.75 sq ft. Carpet area is the usable floor area inside a flat's walls, as defined under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act. The agreement area is larger, at 3,731.58 sq ft. The purchase includes six car parking spaces: four on the second-floor podium and two in the second basement.
Business Standard, citing the documents, reported that both apartments are on the 24th floor. The larger unit measures 1,913.41 sq ft of carpet area and was bought for ₹13.97 crore, with three parking spaces. The registration gives its proposed possession date as on or before 31 December 2028. The second unit measures 1,478.34 sq ft and cost ₹10.79 crore.
The registered consideration is ₹24,75,97,750, which works out to roughly ₹73,000 per sq ft of carpet area. Both units are priced at about the same rate. Stamp duty of ₹1,23,79,900 was paid across the two agreements. The buyer used the 1% stamp duty concession that Maharashtra has offered women homebuyers since a government circular dated 31 March 2021.
Radhika Rahane is an interior designer and social media personality. Hindustan Times said it had emailed her and the developer for comment and had not received a response when the report was published, and that Ajinkya Rahane could not be reached.
Shivaji Park property market and recent celebrity deals
Shivaji Park and the surrounding parts of Dadar are long-established residential areas in central Mumbai, with suburban railway access as well as schools and hospitals nearby. Older buildings in the area are increasingly being redeveloped into high-rise towers like Oceana, which adds new premium supply to a locality with little vacant land.
The purchase is one of several high-value Mumbai apartment deals by public figures to appear in registration records in recent weeks. Hindustan Times noted that singer Vishal Mishra recently bought four apartments in Andheri covering 4,058 sq ft for ₹22.25 crore.
Ajinkya Rahane has an earlier link to Mumbai property. In 2024, the Maharashtra government allotted him a 21,348 sq ft MHADA-owned plot in Bandra West to set up a sports facility. The 30-year lease carried a premium of ₹4.88 crore. Hindustan Times reported that the plot had previously been allotted to the Sunil Gavaskar Cricket Foundation Trust in 1988. The state cancelled that allotment in June 2022 because the promised indoor academy had not been built.
What it means for Dadar homebuyers
For buyers watching central Mumbai, the deal gives a recent registered price point for new under-construction homes near Shivaji Park: about ₹73,000 per sq ft of carpet area, before stamp duty and registration charges. Because registration data is public, transactions like this are a useful reference when comparing developer asking prices in Dadar and nearby Mahim and Prabhadevi. Buyers should note that under-construction prices depend on floor, view and the delivery timeline. Here, the registration gives a possession date of December 2028.
